Azalea Plant Sale

Cook's Nursery, Don's Plants, Naconiche Gardens, and the Flora Garden Club will offer a variety of plants including 30 varieties of azaleas including the Encore
TM and Southern Indica. The sale also features perennials, houseplants and other choice ornamental shrubs and trees.
The Art of Floral Design, Color & Textures from the Gardens

A showcase of floral arrangements highlighting the horticultural talents of local gardeners, designers and plant enthusiasts. Includes a design presentation at 11 a.m. as well as a silent auction throughout the day. Sponsored by the Nacogdoches Art League and Sherry Ward Fine Arts Studio.

Introduce your favorite little girl to the beauty and joy of the garden at this special party. Enjoy refreshments, party favors and entertainment planned to delight you and spark her imagination. Bring your camera to capture the day. Dress: Please let her wear her favorite little princess costume or garden party outfit. Very limited seating, reservations required. Azalea Symposium: Secrets of Azalea Gardens, Old and New
9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.,  Saturday, March 29
Hear the behind-the-scenes stories of azaleas in the South: Bayou Bend Gardens, Houston's oldest azalea garden, by Gardens Curator Bart Brechter; the new Margie Jenkins Azalea Garden at LSU AgCenter in Hammond by Resident Coordinator Dr. Regina Bracy; and design secrets of SFA's own Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden (guided tour) by Barbara Stump. Lunch is provided, followed by tips on propagating azaleas. $25 includes lunch. Advanced registration required. Sponsored by the SFA Mast Arboretum and the Texas Chapter of the Azalea Society of America.

Loblolly Liberator Bike Ride
7 a.m. registration, 8 a.m. start, Saturday, March 29, Nacogdoches Treatment Center
This benefit bike ride raises funds for the Nacogdoches Treatment Center. Five courses ranging from 10 to 100 miles take riders through scenic East Texas.
